new music friday: Kelsea Ballerini

When Kelsea Ballerini released her self-titled album, Kelsea, in March, I didn’t listen to the whole album. With her latest release, Ballerini, I feel more compelled to listen to her stories. In my opinion, Kelsea was a overly produced, pop leaning album, while Ballerini shows all the same songs in a different, light-hearted way. I am excited to explore the Ballerini versions of these songs as well as treasure the songs that I loved from the beginning, including “la,” “hole in the bottle,” and “club.” I encourage you to listen to these newly released versions, along with Kelsea Ballerini’s meaning of the title.
