music city series: Arrington Vineyards

For a girl who doesn’t like wine, I had so much fun at a winery. A few weeks ago, we celebrated my friend Taner’s Bachelor Party at Arrington Vineyards and had a full day of wine, clothing malfunctions, and laughs. Arrington Vineyards has been open since 2007 and is about 40 minutes from Nashville. You won’t be escaping from country music out there though because it is owned by none other than country music artist Kix Brooks.

We arrived at the vineyards around noon and the picnic tables were already popping with people spending their day getting wine drunk. For the first few hours, we bought bottles of wine to share and the Peach Frosé which was amazing! We also shared some meat and cheese.

After enjoying ourselves and taking photos, we headed to the tasting room. In the tasting room, you get to make your wine selection. Your choices are White, Red, Sweet, or Mixed. Like I mentioned, I don’t like wine so I went with Sweet. The wines I tasted were Honeysuckle, Raspberry, Blackberry, and Scarlet. All were good, but Honeysuckle was my favorite! I even left with two bottles of it. You also get to take home your AV tasting glass.

If you take part in a wine tasting, you get their Wine Club discount after the tasting. You can also sign up for their Wine Club ahead of time to receive four packages a year and receive discounts on all other wine and merchandise purchases.

Overall, Arrington Vineyards was a great place to enjoy great drinks and great friends. I do recommend having a Designated Driver because of the distance from Nashville. Lastly, wear comfortable shoes. There is a lot to explore and a lot of walking.
